Vertical Woman

Frederik Pénot is CEO of Userfarm, a world leader in the production of crowdsourced video content. With its community of over 100,000 video makers in 140 countries, Userfarm produces thousands of high quality, authenticity, creativity and diversity videos every year. Frederik has over 20 years of international experience in the services, audiovisual and tourism sectors. He was a director of Filmmaster Productions, of Civita Mostre and of Cinecittà Studios in Rome. Previously, Frederik was Vice President of Corporate Marketing at Costa Crociere in Genoa and Vice President of Marketing and Sales of France at Disneyland Paris. He began his career as a strategic consultant with Roland Berger Management Consultant in Paris and Munich. A graduate of ESCP Europe with the European Master in Management, Frederik speaks Italian, French, English and German. Lives in Italy for 6 years.

Marco D'Ottavio

Marketing Director of ComingSoon
Graduated in Economics and Commerce in Film Marketing, he began his career in 1998 in the marketing department of Twentieth Century Fox Italia, followed by a collaboration with Warner Bros. Pictures Italy. In the summer of 2000 he joined The Walt Disney Company Italia, where he remained until 2011 covering the role of Marketing Manager. During the film distribution journey he worked on the launch of over 250 films, dealing with all the marketing disciplines and also the Home Entertainment and Videogames area. Since 2011 he is Marketing Director of Coming Soon, a leading publisher of film promotion since 1977, with the first "vertical" site on cinema in Italy (comingsoon.it) and applications for smartphones and tablets.

Alberto Molinari

Actor
Molinari made her debut in 1988 in the short film Un bel dì vedremo by Vito Zagarrio. In 1998 he participated in the film Simpatici & antipatici by Christian De Sica. He has played, among others, the roles of Ricky Simone in The beauty of women (2001), the major Quinto in fiction The wrong man (2005), Massimo in the miniseries Zodiaco (2008), and Achille Gandolfin in Il sangue e la rose (2008). In 2010 he has a part in Io and my son - New stories for Commissioner Vivaldi. Molinari is also a producer, screenwriter and director of short films and documentaries. Fabio Frizzi

Composer, orchestrator and conductor, Fabio Frizzi, with over a hundred film and television scores, winner of numerous awards, has followed in the footsteps of the masters of Italian cinema. He worked alongside famous Italian directors, Luciano Salce, Steno, Vittorio Sindoni, Tonino Valerii, Gabriele Lavia, Bruno Corbucci, Carlo and Enrico Vanzina. Marco Giusti

Author, film critic
Author for italian Tv RAI and film critic. He joined RAI in 1985, has made several television programs, including Blob, Blobcartoon, Overtime, The Comic Situation, Carosello, Scirocco, Pride, Phenomena, Matinée, Soirée, Cocktail of Love, Stracult and Base Luna. In 1974 he was one of the founders of Il Falcone Maltese magazine together with Teo Mora and Enrico Ghezzi. In 1996 he curated the exhibition on Carosello for the Triennale di Milano and in 2004 the retrospective Italian kings of the B's - The Secret History of Italian Cinema for the Venice Film Festival, for which he also curated the western review in 2007 Italian and in 2010 the retrospective The comic situation. Among the many essays written by him are those dedicated to the history of Carosello and the biographies of Moana Pozzi, Stanlio and Ollio, Roberto Benigni and Totò. Directing Actors for the Screen – with Carl Haber

This masterclass is an introduction to the many aspects of the work of a good director, beginning with script analysis, the detective work in determining the heart of any scene, then finding the beats, translating those beats into direction for actors, creating floor plans, camera placement and movement and shot lists, and a few tricks in directing actors’ performances.
